Project Homeless Connect is a massive one-day event targeting unsheltered homeless individuals and those at imminent risk of becoming homeless in Cole County and surrounding areas. All resources and services needed to leave homelessness will be provided under one roof. Community volunteers will pair up one-on-one with homeless individuals beginning with street engagement and ending with accessing a wide array of resources provided by community partners. Dozens of agencies and service providers are joining together to break down barriers that make it difficult for individuals to leave homelessness.
Services on the day of the event will include:
Basic Medical Screenings and Dental Extractions
Vision Screening and Eyeglasses
Missouri Birth Certificates and Non-Drivers Identification Cards
Housing Counseling and Placement
Access to Benefits (Medicaid/Food Stamps)
Substance Use and Mental Health Counseling
Veterans Benefits and Services
Hair Cuts and Showers
