Presbyterian Women
Presbyterian Women (PW) at First Presbyterian continue a tradition of active mission, faithful service, and lively study. Lead by its Coordinating Team, PW provides a wide variety of activities for all women and serves the congregation, the community, our presbytery, and the larger church. While engaged in mission, PW also offers Bible study and fellowship – many longtime friendships have formed through involvement in PW circles.
Some of the PW activites include:
- Annual Women’s Mini-Retreat
- Christmas dinner for international students as Lincoln University
- Advent Vespers fellowship reception
- Assembly of Church World Service hygiene, school and baby kits during annual “Kits for Kids” event
- “Hats off to the Ladies” a Women’s Tea with a historical hat show
- PW-MUP "Mission in A Weekend" to support the Agape House and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance
- Celebrate the Gifts of Women Sunday
- Monthly luncheons and programs (1st Wednesdays)
- Bible study
- Support if the PW national Thank Offering, Birthday Offering, and other national and international PCUSA missions
- Collection Campbell’s Soup, Best Choice, and Box Tops for Education labels
- Fellowship at monthly circle meetings, luncheons, dinners and field trips
